A Visit from Great Grandma
Great Grandma May came for a visit today. Olivia made up to her very quickly. She kept crawling over to her legs and wanting to be picked up. We had a fun day. It is finally beautiful outside and we enjoyed it. Olivia LOVED the swing we hung in a tree. She kicked and squealed and giggled. She is a crazy girl--she loved it when I grabbed her legs and stopped her quick and then let go with a big push. Nothing delicate and timid about our little sweetie. Just the way we like it!

Waitin' for Papa
Looking for Papa
Just what they both were waiting for...
Our sweet Olivia was here again today, unfortunately, Grandpa had to be out alot. Olivia is his biggest fan. I am not exaggerating when I say that she lights up when she sees him. He left this morning while she was napping and was still gone when she got up. She and I had lunch and played, but she was looking for him. Eventually she crawled over to the back door and stood there--not sure she knew what she was looking for, but when she saw him step on to the back porch, she was sure excited. He had to leave again after a quick lunch. Olivia kept crawling over to him to be picked up. . . she didn't want him to leave again and he wasn't too crazy about leaving her either!

CLOSER TO HOME!
We are so very excited that Melissa and Jason are going to be moving back to the midwest. They have both been accepted into the Master's program at Indiana University. Melissa's daddy is excited that they will be back in the area, but is not too excited about having IU students in the family. I think he will be OK with it until they become IU basketball or football fans. The Purdue fan in him cannot quite handle that idea. His often used expression about his Illini loving son is "I thought I raised you better than that..." apparently not!
It is a real blessing to have them be within a 4 hour drive instead of 14. They have secured a townhouse they like, rented from a Lincoln Christian College alum who knows Jason's Uncle Tim and Melissa's Aunt Margie. This was the first place they looked at--it was definately a God timed connection.
We had been praying and praying for God to reveal clearly which school He wanted them to attend and He did exactly that. We are thrilled for the kids and can't wait until summer when they get to come CLOSER TO HOME!

Game Day!
Our attempt at self portrait
We spent yesterday at a long, cold Cub game. We were given tickets to the opening series with the Brewers. The game didn't turn out too well for the Cubbies, but we really enjoyed the day away from home. It was wierd being in the ball park and being so cold. Usually when we are there, we are longing for a little shade--yesterday we would have been overjoyed for a seat in the sun. For most of the day you could actually see your breath when you talked! My sweet husband wore a heavy winter coat and was still cold. Apparently the Cubs were cold too, or at least their bats were. At any rate it was a fun day with my sweetie at the ballpark.
